'Portcullis Fabuloso' - Philosopher
*Just an initial 'heads up': owing to the startling and surprising fact that this site is not yet the number one choice of search engines, always remember to type this URL - https://d1d2d321.wixsite.com/portcullis - into your upper address (URL) bar, not your lower search (Bing/Google) bar.
*Also note that in most of the posters I have used the font: Gentium book basic. Otherwise i will try to add a note about other fonts used.
*Also note that with uploaded images, for some reason, Wix sometimes crops the borders; but these should be restored in any downloads.

A work in progress...
This project, 'A TOXIC misunderstanding!', is still possibly at the prototype stage, and so there is no download function as yet.

... just so you can see the overall look.

SectionThree:
'Enlightenment Poster' (& related work)
This project was the first of my poster projects, and is very dear to my heart. Why someone didn't think to do something like this long long ago is one of the great mysteries of all time, as in one simple fell swoop it clears up so many possible misconceptions for anyone who is serious about developing any sort of real intellect. And, now more than ever, we need as many people doing that as we can possibly get!
This 'Enlightenment Project' is still possibly at the prototype stage, and so there is no download function as yet.

This is also at the prototype stage, so no download as yet.

Hi, this is 'Portcullis Fabuloso', Philosopher. Welcome to my website. Bear in mind that my I.T. skills are virtually nil! But hopefully my posters etc. can be seen OK, and hopefully the downloads will work!
I have a particular interest in applied philosophy, and believe philosophy to be, in a way, the ultimate practical subject - whilst western culture seems to either dismiss philosophy as regards practicality, or virtually pretend that it doesn't even exist! i also have a very strong interest in reforming our totally misguided and extremely badly run UK education system!
Obviously we also have catastrophic Media problems, which the Media itself always down-play , of course!
More generally, I believe that even though our culture produces almost limitless amounts of blab, there seems to be a serious lack of concise core images, or texts, that really get to the heart of things that really matter. Global warming would be a prime example of failure in this regard! Hopefully, in some small way, some of my downloads will help remedy this. Basically I am seriously worried that if our society, and species, doesn't address such (interconnected) issues, we're doomed!
(I should also add that, as well as philosophical writing, I also do creative writing, song-writing, teaching, and various creative endeavours. I suppose that you could just say that I'm very interested in culture generally. I also have a very strong interest in fitness, geopolitics, investing - various things. I hope that to some extent I'm interested in everything!)
(PLUS I'M LOOKING FOR A JOB - SEE BLUE SECTION BELOW!!!)
JOB!
Basically I'm currently looking for a job - so hopefully this added section won't be here too long, for obvious reasons! For many years now I've paid the bills by doing external general supply work in mostly secondary schools. In a nutshell, it's not a job, it's abuse. And the kids aren't the problem! I'm actually quite sad to be leaving the kids. And yes, the UK Education System treats agency workers that badly! (See my poster 'A TOXIC misunderstanding!' above to gain some sort of context as regards the sheer ignorance!)
I'd say I was a very young 60, basically quite fit. Some asthma problems; some, mostly distant, caring responsibilities for a fairly local relative; very frugal lifestyle; much (probably unpaid) work of my own to do; hence I'm looking for REMOTE WORKING on a PART-TIME basis - 0.3? 0.5? It's negotiable. But bear in mind that at whatever fraction, you get my full intellect. And with a good boss who was in need, I would 'pile in there', as they say. Big selling point: I'M VERY CHEAP! I've calculated that I can survive on as little as 6k a year (British Pounds). I love money, but what I want is work that's vaguely commensurate with my intellectual and creative level!!! That's not to say I wouldn't 'muck in' with more tedious work when needs must, but the overall job has got to be vaguely within the bounds of what I'm looking for here. I will let this website be my CV, (or perhaps the 'Enlightenment' poster, above, will serve as a shorter CV)
I know this is all a bit unorthodox, me trying to wangle a bespoke job. Also I can see a huge irony. Most people who can see my worth are going to be on a level where they probably don't need me. And people who desperately need me, or someone like me who can really do applied philosophy (one cannot help but think of someone like Elon Musk, for example) are probably far too stupid and arrogant and egomaniacal to realise they need me! So although I feel my skills are worth money, how to get the actual gig?
So, where do I, and my skill-set fit it? Who's going to take the bait here? What 'world' will I end up in? The academic world? The political world? The business world? The philanthropic world? The creative/writing world? (They are all fascinating worlds) Or will no one take the bait? To be honest my intellect lets me down on this. But the following is a list, by no means exhaustive, and in no particular order, of people who I think I might like to work for...
Gary Stevenson - economist; Michael Ignatieff - intellectual; Rory Stewart - politician; Alastair Campbell - political journalist; Ed Davey - politician; Deborah Meaden - entrepreneur; Warwick Mansell - education journalist; Adam Taggart - finance journalist; Steven Fry - intellectual/entertainer; Bill Gates - philanthropist; Grant Williams - investor; Ray Dalio - investor; Will Goldsmith - headteacher; Mike Berners-Lee - professor (climate) ... will add to this list over time.

UPDATE...
I've now realised that possibly I can make it through to retirement just by investing. Obviously, impossible to really know this is advance. But although a relative newbie, investing is something I'm deeply interested in. So for that reason I am now particularly interested in ONE-OFF PROJECTS, of days/ weeks/ months duration. Also i might be able to work for free, for a time, so that people can get a feel for what I can or can't do. Particularly for interesting/creative work, I could be very flexible!
Praise from the Press
When i first read a piece of work by Portcullis Fabuloso i was so gobsmackingly impressed that my head literally exploded on the spot! I had to go to A & E! Unfortunately Mr Fabuloso could not help with medical expenses. You have been warned!

I'm hoping the ODT file downloads work OK, and images are not distorted. (Wix seems to hate PDF files for some reason!) If there's a problem, reach out to me by email, and i'll send you the PDF file direct.
